Gastronomy:In
this section we are going to write about the gastronomy of Iznájar. The
gastronomy of Iznájar is typical and unique in the world.In our village there are different typical dishes, for example: Huesos de santo (eggs, milk,yeastand
grated lemon peel) this food is typical at Easter week; Salmorejo of
naranja ( orange, hard-boiled egg, tuna, chives, olive oil and cod) this
food is typical in summer, Huevos rellenos ( hard-boiled egg, tuna,
mayonnaise and tomato sauce) this food is special on Good Friday
(Easter). The Salmorejo cordobés is the same than the salmorejo of
naranja but without orange and with tomato and in Iznájar it is called
“Porra fria”; Maimones (bread , olive oil, water, ham, egg and garlic).
Finally, Huevos volados and Pestiños which are served as dessert.In summary, you must arrive in Iznájar to taste all these typical dishes.We will wait for you!
