THE LAKE OF IZNÁJAR
The lake of Iznájar is located in the province of Córdoba, near Rute and Cuevas de San Marcos. It belongs to The Hydrographic Confederation of Guadalquivir. Its area is 2522 hectareas with a capacity of 981 hectolitres, it is the largest of Andalucía, the river that pours the lake is the river Genil.
Inside of the lake there is a diverse fauna, it has got trouts, barbels,crabs....
In the lake you can do many activities, for example, swimming, fishing...

The dam of Iznájar was finished in 1969 and opened this date.To build this dam, 600 houses had to be collapsed. This dam was built with this objectives
