TOURISM


Iznájar is a town wich is placed in the South of Córdoba. It has got a mediterranean climate and in summer there is
much tourism because it has many places to stay and good views. You can see or visit some places:

The Castle. It is a Muslim fortress whose
origin dates back to the eighth century,
rises haughtily over the town, with four
corner towers, stand out the Homage.

The Patio of Comedies.
The Patio of the Comedies, old souk, is located within the walls,
whose name comes from theatrical performances that were once.

San Jose's Church.
A chapel of reduced dimensions that was recently remodeled for the practice of worship and has a singular architecture.

House of columns.
In the eighteenth century houses the former administration of the Counts of Albi. Stand the
coats of arms of the Salazar on the facade and the central grid.

Hermitage of the Virgin of Mercy.
Construction of the seventeenth century. Highlight the vaulted ship at the end of which a
splendid baroque dressing room which houses the patroness, the Virgin of Mercy, the most
interesting and ancient image of Iznájar, modeled in clay by the year 1460 appears.

Viewpoints.
By the situation of Iznájar, it is easy to understand that there are many places that
appear to be balconies one house outside the village. The viewpoint of the Cruz
de San Pedro where is the outdoor theater of the town, the Plaza Nueva, the Las
Penas, Las Tres Cruces viewpoint, Cruz del Postigo ....
